Blueberry Perpetua

Two crops of sweet and delicious blueberries.  Fruit will appear in mid-summer and then again in the fall.  This blueberries leaves are a dark green and will turn to deep reds and greens in the winter, making it a beautiful addition to any landscape.

 

Blueberry Peach Sorbet®

Compact blueberry with leaves that are peach, pink, orange and emerald green.  White bell-shaped flowers appear in spring and lead to tropical flavoured, sweet blueberries. In most climates this plant will keep its leaves throughout winter and turn a rich eggplant purple.

Blueberry Pink Icing®

Breathtaking foliage colours and large, robust flavoured berries.  In spring the foliage has many shades of pink, mixed with blue and deep greens.  The leaves turn a stunning iridescent turquoise blue in winter.

Blackberry Baby Cakes®

A thornless, dwarf blackberry that is perfect for patio pots and produces large, sweet berries.  In most regions this blackberry will produce twice in one season.

Raspberry Shortcake®

Thornless raspberry that is compact with a rounded growth habit that thrives in a patio pot or in the garden.  This raspberry requires no staking or big garden spaces.

Blueberry Glaze®

Foliage that is similar to a boxwood, with white spring blossoms that lead into berries that turn from yellow, to red, to dark blue.  Perfect for patio pots or any landscape.

Blueberry Jelly Bean®

Large, flavourful berries that taste like sweet, homemade blueberry jelly.  Foliage has unique, elongated green leaves with highlights of red in cooler climates.

Yerba Mate (Ilex Paraguariensis)

This specimen is a herbal and medicinal plant native to Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, it can easily be grown in a container as it will need to be brought inside in winter. Yerba Mate has been used as a beverage for centuries in South America and in some of it's countries it is considered a national drink! To prepare this energizing drink, combine 2-4 grams of dried, cut Yerba Mate leaves with 200 ml of boiling water.

Seminar: Pollinator Friendly Gardening

Our feature presenter will be Ian Tait, Vice President of Earthwise Society and founder of Feed the Bees. Ian will talk about the Feed the Bees initiative, why pollinators are important, what is happening to pollinator populations, and what we can do to help. He will provide resources and recommendations for planting to feed the bees.

Monique Olsen, Project Coordinator from Earthwise Agassiz, will also present. Her focus will be to introduce workshop attendees to the educational resources available at including a demonstration Feed the Bees garden and a pollinator meadow. Monique is very knowledgeable about plant material and what plants bees especially love.
